About Angela
I was born and raised in a hard working family in Gainesville, GA. My earliest years of education were during segregation. I have vivid memories of the segregated classrooms, the integration of schools, and the affect it had on all children. Through my educational experiences, I know the importance of connections and the worth of inclusion.
My mom and dad were working parents and very supportive of their three children. My large extended family included 17 maternal aunts and uncles, two paternal. It was through this family dynamics that I learned ethics, character and values. I am a graduate of East Hall High School. My advanced degrees are BA from Tift College, MEd from UWG and a Specialist in Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University.
My life here in Hall County has been an open book. I am often timed remembered as a starter on the 1979 East Hall Girls Basketball State Championship team. As I advanced in my career as a teacher and coach, it was the love for Hall County that fueled my endurance for the process to return home. Each time I returned, change took place and history was made.
Meet Angela in the present. The mom of Clindon Thomas Middleton. I am a retired Educator; a devoted member of St. Paul United Methodist Church on Summit St.; Delta Sigma Theta Sorority; creator of TBird's Touch, SEC. and a member of numerous boards and organizations.
